Elementary years are such an exciting time for you and your child. It’s an incredible journey of growth and change.
It’s a time to be curious and wonder, to think about others, and to think about oneself. Your child will learn how to contribute to this world as independent skills take shape.
Student’s curriculum covers the following subjects: Language Arts, Phonics, Spelling, Math, History and Science. Bible topics are integrated into the curriculum to demonstrate how all subjects help us understand the world, and the work God has given us in it.
Our students practice daily prayer and pledges as a way to acknowledge the Creator. Weekly chapel services are also held, giving students an opportunity to worship and learn in fellowship with their peers.
Once a week for 30 minutes our students will be engaged in Music appreciation, Art appreciation, Computer and Spanish classes. This is a great opportunity for them to broaden their learning, and begin to develop their God given talents.
Throughout the year our students are given various opportunities to get involved with school spirit and our community. Kids are allowed to wear “crazy hair” or dress up as their favorite career professional during our Spirit Days, and explore our community on field trips.
It’s important that our EVCS students maintain a healthy balance of work in the classroom and play. Our students are given a morning and afternoon break as well as lunch outside, weather permitting.
Kids deserve to eat well, that’s why we’ve partnered with Choicelunch as an option for fresh and nutritious lunches. Online ordering is convenient for busy families.
